Membership and / or Donation information The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films was founded in 1972 to honor, recognize and promote genre films. We annually present the prestigious Saturn Awards. I Academy members vote the annual Saturn Awards. By joining the Academy, you will have the opportunity to have a voice in the selection of the Saturn Awards winners. The Academy is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. The face value of your contribution (membership) is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Order your membership using the security of PayPal Services. All major credit cards are accepted. Membership levels to become a member: $220 – Premium Membership. Receive a 2011/2012 (expires December 01, 2012 12/01/12) membership card enabling you and one guest to attend all Academy screenings held on the weekends in the Southern California area. In addition, you will be able to sign up and attend special events held throughout the week –which includes plays, special screenings, and other special events which we will receive tickets for. $175 – Regular Membership. Receive a 2011/2012 (expires December 01, 2012 12/01/12) membership card enabling you to vote in the annual Saturn Awards as well as to attend (with a guest) all of the Academy screenings held in the Los Angeles area. We average 130 film screenings every year. $500 – Professional Membership – Individual. Receive a 2011/2012 ((expires December 01, 2012 12/01/12) membership card enabling you to vote in the annual Saturn Awards as well as attending (with a guest) all of the Academy screenings held in the Los Angeles area. Additionally, you will receive an invitation to attend the Saturn Awards Show (a separate cost may be incurred to receive a ticket to the annual dinner). $1000 – Professional Membership – Business. Receive a 2011/2012 ((expires December 01, 2012 12/01/12) membership card enabling you to vote in the annual Saturn Awards as well as to attend (with a guest) all of the Academy screenings held in the Los Angeles area. Additionally, you will receive an invitation to attend the Saturn Awards Show. Two tickets will be included as part of your membership package provided the Saturn Awards show is produced by the organization. $7,000 – Saturn Awards advertising / tables. Place a full color page ad in the official journal of The 38th Annual Saturn Awards. Additionally, you will receive a full table of ten (10) seats at the event. (please note: ad must be delivered to our offices by a date to be specified and seating must be confirmed by a date to be specified). $40 – Out-of-State Membership. Receive a 2011/2012 ((expires December 01, 2012 12/01/12) membership enabling you to vote in the annual Saturn Awards. A membership package will be mailed to you which will include a membership card, and other special items such as a dvd or t-shirt or other promotional item provided by a film studio. This membership is intended for persons who live outside the Southern California area and cannot be used to attend screenings in the Los Angeles area. PLEASE NOTE: When you join at one of the premium levels, you will receive a mention in the official journal distributed at the Saturn Awards as an “official supporter of the Academy and the Saturn Awards”. $ --- DONATION. Your donations are important to us as they keep the organization functioning on an annual basis. Please make a donation to the Academy and support the only organization which honors and recognizes the talent working in genre film and television. We have also widened the scope of our awards by celebrating achievement in additional genres including action, adventure, and thrillers as well as international cinema. We recognize the films and programming the typical genre fan embraces and supports with great insight and passion.
